PLACEHEBERG · PRACTICAL GUIDE

Place Box or a game server: which should you choose?

Understand the difference between an individual server and several servers sharing a box.

One server for one project

A game hosting plan corresponds to a single server for the selected game and server type. This suits a single Minecraft world or Rust server with its own resources.

The configurator shows resources, pricing and profile availability. Plans remain visible when no compatible node has capacity, but ordering is blocked if required resources are unavailable.

A box for several projects

Place Box groups several servers within a shared resource allowance. RAM and CPU must be divided between projects: each additional server uses part of that allowance.

The configurator calculates included storage from the CPU core count and shows associated options. Saving a configuration does not automatically create servers or reserve capacity. Check available features before ordering.

Classic, Perf and Bootcores

Classic and Perf refer to machine profiles. Selected resource quantities are separate from hardware frequencies. Specifications marked as targets must be confirmed for the allocated machines.

Bootcores provide extra CPU during startup: one from two base cores, two from four and three from six. The bonus ends once the server is running and does not increase permanent plan resources.
