The SQL range is planned for structured website, bot or application data: accounts, settings, content and history. It provides a database service, separate from file hosting or a VPS.
Starter: 1 database, 1 GB total and 5 simultaneous connections. Performance: 3 databases, 5 GB total and 15 connections. Extreme: 10 databases, 20 GB total and 30 connections. Connection limits concern application sessions, not visitor counts.
Applications need a host, port, database name and SQL credentials. Remote access, allowed addresses and encryption requirements will be specified before launch. Keep passwords in private application configuration.
Export data before migrations and size connection pools to your quota. Support addresses connectivity and availability incidents; schema design and query optimisation depend on your application. Backup retention will be specified at launch.
